WhatsApp will soon get adverts - report

CAPE TOWN - Facebook is set to reportedly begin publishing adverts on WhatsApp’s status page in 2020.
This was spotted in a tweet by Olivier Ponteville, the head of Media at Be Connect Agency that was an attendee at Facebook's Marketing Summit.
WhatsApp will add the adverts through its Status feature and the company added that business catalogues will also be introduced within WhatsApp.
“With catalogues, businesses can showcase their goods so people can easily discover them,” said Facebook.
