Honor on Thursday announced the launch of the new Honor 8S device in South Africa.
The device features a 5.71-inch IPS LCD display with 1520×720 resolution that runs on Android 9.0 Pie with EMUI 9.
It is powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 chipset, four ARM Cortex-A53 cores at 2GHz and a 3020mAh battery.
Storage wise it has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with the option of adding a microSD card.
The device also comes with Bluetooth 5.0, FM Radio, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a micro USB port but it has no fingerprint sensor.
The rear-end camera is a 13MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and phase-detection autofocus and it has a 5MP camera for selfies.
In terms of pricing and availability, it is available for R1999 prepaid or R159pm on Vodacom from 19 July 2019.
