Levi’s celebrates its Adderley Street grand opening with Cape Town’s fashion collective

Levi’s, one of the world’s most iconic and enduring brands, has officially opened its new store on one of Cape Town’s most famous streets, Adderley Street.

The highly-anticipated launch event, held on 13 July 2023, rolled out the red carpet for Levi’s® Red Tab™ members, local creatives, and the city’s trailblazing fashionistas. 

The VIP invitation gave attendees a chance to try and buy selected in-store items, ranging from effortlessly cool 501®s to 90s-inspired Silvertab™ Loose Jeans. However, the event offered so much more than exclusive shopping opportunities; it was a carefully curated experience that brought together Cape Town’s fashion collective to celebrate the legacy, present, and future of Levi’s. 

No event would be complete without a signature brand experience and all-night refreshments—and Levi’s delivered with their photo booth, beers from Jack Black and refreshing sodas from Pura. The evening’s fashion-forward crowd posed, played, and snapped Insta-worthy memories against a backdrop of beats from the one and only DJ BlaqKongo.

In addition, there was also a classic ribbon-cutting ceremony with a twist: instead of a traditional red ribbon, the store’s official debut was marked by untying a denim ribbon in true Levi’s style.
