Engen launches Vaccination pop up in Gqeberha

The Uitenhage community were recently provided with easy access to the Covid-19 vaccine thanks to a pop-up vaccination station that was set up at Engen Janwood Convenience Centre in Uitenhage, Gqeberha.
With Covid-19 hygiene protocols strictly adhered to, the pop-up vaccination station was such a success amongst locals, that a second vaccination drive has been planned for 30 October 2021.
In partnership with the Eastern Cape Department of Health, Engen staff, motorists, customers, and people from the local community who visited the petrol station were able to receive Covid-19 vaccinations.
Engen Janwood dealer, Adam Jeeva said he wanted to support the local community by providing a safe and convenient way for local residents to get their jab.
“Another important aspect, was to provide the Eastern Cape department of health with an opportunity to educate locals about the benefit, safety and importance of vaccinating,” added Jeeva.
As an added incentive, the Engen retail sales team in Gqeberha gave-away masks, pens, and lanyards to everyone who requested and received their jab.
“We have a lot of work to do to get our country vaccinated,” commented Seelan Naidoo, Engen’s General Manager: Retail. “We commend our dealers and their Partners for getting involved and playing a role in making this easier for motorists and the community at large.”
